ACAA men’s basketball

The UNB Saint John Seawolves took on the St. Thomas Tommies in ACAA men's basketball Sunday in Saint John. The game was close with the Seawolves carrying a 39-38 lead into the halftime break. The Seawolves won the third quarter 24-14 and finished even stronger in the fourth quarter to win the game in runaway fashion 90-66.

Hunter Gray had quite a day for the Seawolves with a game high 24 points. He also added 7 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals. Rookie Ian Watters had an impressive 18 point outing and Steve Ryan added 15 points, 7 rebounds and 3 steals. 

Sam Drummond had 17 points and 7 rebounds to lead the Tommies. Mitch Claybourn also made an impact with 13 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Brady Atkinson finished with 13 points.

The Seawolves jump to 5-8 on the season while the Tommies check in at 3-11.

The next game action for both teams will be February 3. The Tommies host Crandall University Chargers at 4:00pm while the Seawolves host University of King's College Blue Devils at 6:00pm.
