The Blue Devils took an early lead in their opening game against the Tommies of St. Thomas University, posting an impressive 24 points in the first quarter and a two point lead into halftime. A second half resurgence by the Tommies put them ahead as King's ran out of steam in the 4th quarter, finishing six points off pace with a final score of 62-56. Senior shooting-guard, Chloe Oxner netted a team-high 15 points, while point-guard Jenna Bain recorded a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds. Guards Madison Owens and Vanessa Soffee led the way for the Tommies with 23 and 17 points respectively.
