ACAA women’s basketball

The UNBSJ Seawolves hosted the Crandall University Chargers in ACAA women's basketball action.

The Chargers ran out to a 40-24 half-time lead. The Seawolves came within single digits several times as they tried to make a comeback but it was not to be and Chargers withstood the fourth quarter pressure to seal a 65-51 win over the Seawolves. 

Sydnee Balser had a big day for the Chargers with a game-high 22 points. Megan Gallie added 18 points, Kylee Balser grabbed 6 rebounds and Emily Briggs had 4 steals.

Rookie Bailey Henderson had a terrific game for the Seawolves with 15 points and a game-high 12 rebounds.

It was the First win of the season for the Chargers who now check in at 1-5. The injury-riddled Seawolves are still looking for their first win and dropped to 0-5.

The Seawolves travel to Holland College Sunday, Nov. 22 for a 2:30pm game. The Chargers next see action on the road against UKC Saturday, Nov. 27 at 1:00pm.
