MONCTON, NB - The Crandall Chargers topped the visiting St. Thomas Tommies 84-77 in front of a packed crowd for their home opener on Saturday in Moncton.
Daniel Hawkes, a fourth year forward from Woodstock, NB, had a game-high 18 points in the win with first year forward Luca Del Bosco pulling in a game-high 17 rebounds. Tommies standout Noah McCarthy and Evan Vlanne each contributed 17 points to lead the Tommies. It was a back-and-forth struggle that wasn't decided until the final minute.
Crandall will be back in action on November 3 as they travel to Sackville, NB to face the Mount Allison Mounties.
