MONCTON, NB - Crandall Chargers get their first victory of the season, winning 1-0 over the Holland College Hurricanes.
Chase Pennell, a first year player from Barrie, ON, broke through to score the only goal of the game in the 82nd minute of play. That was enough as the Chargers solid defense held the Hurricanes in check the rest of the way.
Chargers goalie Evan Couturier recorded his first clean sheet of the year, turning away all shots he faced.
Crandall will look to build on their success as they host the Dalhousie Agricultural Rams on Wednesday, Sept. 11 before heading on the road for weekend games with Mount St. Vincent and University of Kings College.
