From the first whistle, the game was intense, with both teams playing physical and aggressive soccer. The Tommies struck first when Dan Keripe found the back of the net, giving St. Thomas a 1-0 lead going into halftime. The goal energized the Tommies, but the Seawolves weren't far behind, pressuring relentlessly in the second half.

The second period saw a series of fouls and yellow cards as the match grew even more heated.
