Fredericton, NB - The St Thomas Tommies dominate as they sweep the UNBSJ Seawolves 3-0 to clinch a spot in the ACAA Championship game.
The Tommies started off the first set on fire, racking up a five-point lead 6-1. The Tommies kept this up stacking monstrous kill after monstrous kill and found themselves with an eight-point lead 16-8. The Tommies would keep their foot on the gas, pulling away with a 25-13 win of the first set.
The beginning of the second set saw the Seawolves and Tommies going back and forth with the Tommies holding the edge by two points 7-5. The Tommies would continue their stellar play by going on another astonishing run to put them up seven with a score of 16-9. The Seawolves would put forth an excellent effort but would come up short as the Tommies take the set 25-16.
The Tommies would keep the momentum rolling as they sprinted out to a six-point lead 8-2 in the third set. The Tommies would keep this lead as they pick up the 3-0 sweep over the Seawolves.
This win for the Tommies and player of the game Kalan Noonan means they have secured a spot in the ACAA Championship game.
This loss for the Seawolves and player of the game Jackson Ramier marks the end of their season.
