Crandall and Mount Allison Take First Meet of the Year

Bible Hill Park (NS) was the site of this year’s first ACAA Cross Country running meet hosted by Dalhousie Agriculture Campus on Sunday, September 18, 2022. The meet witnessed sixty-one participants with 35 women running at 12 noon on the six KM course followed by 26 men endeavoring the 8 KM distance.

Women Results

Mount Allison runner Tallulah MacNeil led all women runners with a time of (24:49) finishing first over teammate Eilidh Cameron (25:03) and third place Crandall’s Mary Fillmore (25:59) and propelling her team to capture first place with a score of 16 pts. Crandall University came in second with 23 pts followed by third-place Mount St. Vincent 52 pts.

 

Men Results

It was an all-Crandall finish where their runners captured 6 of the top 7 placings. Crandall Sean Finnigan last year’s ACAA Champion capture 1st place with a time of 30:11 over fellow teammate William Ross (30:54) and Mount Allison’s Isaac McCardle (31:06) who finished third. With six runners in the top 7 spots, it was Crandall’s dominance capturing the team event with 12 points followed by Mount Allison with 28 points and third place Dal AC with 38.
