As September continues on and everybody gets comfortable in competition again, more ACAA student-athletes are turning in standout performances, as evidenced by the past week.
Sophie Shepherd, University of King's College - Soccer
Sophie Shepherd demonstrated a nose for the net the entire weekend, scoring early against Holland College to help University of King's College grab a point in a 1-1 draw.
The Truro, N.S. native then made a triumphant return to her hometown on Sunday, scoring a hat-trick against the Dalhousie AC Rams to fuel a 4-0 victory to lead the Blue Devils to a four-point weekend on the road while keeping the team unbeaten.
Shepherd is in her first year of study in the Neuroscience program at the University of King's College.
Sean Finnigan, Crandall University - Cross-Country Running
The Oromocto, N.B. native blew away the field in the first ACAA cross-country meet of the season, completing the course at P.E.I.'s Mark Arendz Provincial Park in 32:03.2, finishing 38 seconds ahead of anybody else in the field.
