As the first ACAA Championship Weekend since the conference's Return to Play came and went, a number of student-athletes stepped up their game when it mattered the most.

Kiona Osterlin, Mount Allison University - Cross Country Running
The Ellsworth, Me. native capped off her ACAA career in style, capturing her third individual race win of the season as she completed the six-kilometre women's course at Victoria Park in Truro in 25:51, making expert use of the hills on course in the name of recovery and gaining speed before pulling away with one kilometre to go.

Along with individual silver medallist Teagan Stewart, Osterlin helped lead Mount Allison to the ACAA women's cross country team championship with 13 points, along with Lauren Doyle and Claire Wilbur.

Osterlin is in her fourth year at Mount Allison University, where she is studying Sociology.

Sean Finnigan, Crandall University - Cross Country Running
The Oromocto, N.B. native ran straight into the record books, completing an undefeated fall with his third individual win of the season as he completed the eight-kilometre men's course at Victoria Park in Truro in 29:56.6, the only runner to break the 30-minute threshold.

Furthermore, Finnigan's performance helped lead the Chargers to a historic moment in the school's history, as they captured their first ACAA Championship of any kind since 2003, with Finnigan blazing a trail for teammates Daniel Hawkes (fourth overall), William Ross (seventh overall) and Aaron Reimer (ninth overall) to help Crandall finish with 18 points.

Finnigan is in his first season at Crandall University, where he is enrolled in the Bachelor of Arts program.
