ACAA Athletes of the Week - Week of Nov. 26, 2021

In the final full weekend of competition before the ACAA's Winter Break, a pair of Blue Devils made their mark on the hardwood.

Jenna Bain, University of King's College - Basketball

The senior point guard from Bedford played a pivotal role for the University of King's College this past weekend, putting up 14 points and nine rebounds in leading the Blue Devils to a tight 64-60 win over the Crandall University Chargers on Saturday. Then, Bain exploded for 29 points on 50 per cent shooting, including 4-of-6 from three-point range, completing the double-double with 11 rebounds, though the Blue Devils ultimately fell 96-87 to Holland College.

Bain holds a slim lead in ACAA scoring with 17.6 points per game, while her 5.7 rebounds per game put her just outside the top 10 in the conference.

Bain is enrolled in the Bachelor of Arts program at the University of King's College.

Sandrais Clayton, University of King's College - Basketball

The North Preston, N.S. native has firmly established himself as one of the top three-point shooters in the conference, shooting over 40 per cent from beyond the arc this season to rank in the top 10 in both percentage (eighth) and three-pointers made (fifth).

Clayton provided a spark off the bench for the Blue Devils throughout the weekend, leading the Blue Devils' second unit with 14 points in a buzzer-beating 83-82 loss to the Crandall University Chargers on Saturday, then added eight points off the bench in an 84-73 loss to Holland College.

Clayton is in his second year of eligibility at the University of King's College, where is enrolled in the Bachelor of Arts program.
