Hurricanes Rout Chargers 82-74

MONCTON, NB -  Holland Hurricanes came out victorious in their second meeting with Crandall Chargers this season, taking the match 82-74 in a gritty defensive battle.

The Chargers have lived and died by the 3pt shot this season and Friday was much the latter as the team shot 21.6% from beyond the arc. Holland had a game plan to not give Crandall shooters a good look and it paid off as veteran starters Brett Curtis and Devon Glenn were held to a combined 16 points.

James French led the Chargers in points and boards with 14 points going 4-9 from the field and 5-6 from the line.

Chris Cheatham and Logan Rempel were tied as the leading scorers for the Holland Hurricanes. Coming off the bench Kyree Thompson led the team with 8 rebounds while also accounting for 13 total points.

Ethan Culberson made his debut for the Chargers in the final minutes of play. Noah Ozkaynak also saw his first minutes of court time of the season.

Holland would appear to have Crandall's number, defeating them in their two meetings of the season; the two teams will not meet again until late January. Crandall now sits 3-2 on the season and will look to turn things around Sunday evening as they host MSVU for their final home game of 2022.

Record: 3-2 (W-L)

Next Match: Sunday, Nov 27 vs MSVU at 5:00 PM
