MONCTON, NB - Crandall Chargers took care of business in the low-scoring defensive battle against the UNBSJ Seawolves 68-54 on Sunday afternoon in Moncton.
Crandall was led by Devon Glenn (Woodstock, VA) with 15 points on the night with a trio of 3's and a perfect 2-2 at the foul line. Glenn would also tack on 5 assists and 4 boards in 37 minutes of court time.
James French (Moncton, NB) was an absolute bully on the court, bodying the Seawolves and making them pay if they got in his way. French would go on to account for 11 points including a highlight dunk over a UNBSJ defender.
Ethan Szemerda went 5-11 from the field with a pair from beyond the arc to lead the Seawolves scoring with 16 points. Austin Brun would go on to lead UNBSJ with 5 boards while also feeding the ball out for 5 assists in the contest.
The Chargers are riding a two-game win streak and will look to continue the trend Friday evening as they host the MSVU Mystics which will play a large factor in determining the second seed of the upcoming ACAA Championship. The previous meeting between the two teams was a Chargers win, 80-69.
