Rancourt and Hamilton Each Score 21 to Push Chargers Past Seawolves 62-83

MONCTON, NB - The Crandall Chargers blow past the UNBSJ Seawolves at home Sunday afternoon, taking care of business 83-62 for their second win of the season.

Seawolves looked good early, jumping out to an early lead halfway through the opening quarter. The Chargers had other plans though as they settled into a rhythm, stole the lead, and never looked back.

Alexa Rancourt (Charlottetown, PE) and Kassidy Hamilton (Derby Junction, NB) each recorded 21 points for the Chargers, accounting for just over 50% of the team's points between the pair.

Hamilton found her shot early, punishing the Seawloves with a trio of 3's in the opening frame to go on to be 6-15 from the field and 6-7 from the line.

Rancourt took control of the game in the paint on both sides of the ball, shooting .500% from the floor and coming down with 20 boards. Rancourt is the runaway leader of the ACAA in rebounding with 153 on the season and averaging 13.9 per game.

Mattea Hansen (Fredericton, NB) had a solid game, leading the Chargers with 7 assists while high-pointing 6 boards and coming out with a pair of steals.

Jenna Cripps and Hanna Grossman were co-leaders in scoring for the Seawolves with 10 a piece. Cripps went 4-7 from the field with a pair from beyond the arc while Grossman went 4-9 on the floor and made her lone free throw.
