Crandall Prevails Over Mount Allison in Resumed Matchup.

MONCTON, NB - Crandall Chargers and Mount Allison Mounties resumed action after their previous matchup was suspended back on November 11th. Crandall came out on top with a final score of 88 to 74 on Wednesday evening.

 

Picking up where the match left off with 6:09 remaining in the second quarter and the Chargers leading Crandall came out fast racking up 19 points to take a 50-43 lead into the half.

 

The Chargers were slicing through the Mounties' defenders continuously finding lanes into the paint. Sacha Gauthier was driving to the rim hard in the restart of the match accounting for 17 total points.

 

Brett Curtis continued his hot streak from the previous start of the match, leading the Chargers scoring with 23 points.

 

Tyray Cooper saw a season-high 35 minutes on the court, making the most of his time racking up 19 points and coming down with 6 rebounds.

 

James French had full control up and down the court leading the Chargers in rebounds (12) and assists (5).

 

Colby Mcintosh made his Crandall debut in the final three minutes of the contest.

 

Jonas Monroe and Noah McCarthy were the two standout players for Mount Allison with the pair responsible for 20 and 15 points accordingly. The duo accounted for just shy of half of the Mounties' points and were the only players to break double digits in the category. 

 

Crandall now sits at 3-1 on the season and sits third in the rankings. The Chargers will end their home stand this weekend while hosting Holland on Friday evening and MSVU Sunday.
