Fredericton, NB - The MSVU Mystics asserted early dominance and sustained control throughout the game, leading to an 88-64 triumph over the Tommies.
MSVU Mystics dominated from the start, scoring the first points of the game, setting the tone with an impressive 24-9 lead in the first quarter, and further extending their advantage to 54-31 by halftime.
Despite a brief resurgence from the Tommies at the beginning of the third quarter, the Mystics maintained control, securing the quarter with a 73-53 lead.
The MSVU Mystics showcased their superiority throughout the game, ultimately emerging victorious with a final score of 88-64 at Lady Beaverbrook Gym.
Reflecting on the performance, Tommies player Celine Sterckel remarked, "There are some areas we can improve; we didn't come out as strong as we wanted; we'll try to fix those mistakes at practice."
The next games for both teams will be on Saturday, January 20th; MSVU will face UKC, while the Tommies will play against Crandall University.
