Mounties down Hurricanes

Wow!  What a game at the McMillan Centre in Charlottetown on Sunday evening.

The Hurricanes and Mounties played in a thriller and gave the fans a little extra with an overtime.

The Hurricanes started strong in the first, finishing the quarter on 10-0 run to lead 25-11 but the Mounties did not go away.
They clawed their way back into the game and brought it to within 4 at the halftime.

The game came alive in the fourth quarter, the home team Hurricanes found themselves down by 6 with 13 seconds left in the game, veteran Chris Cheatham hit a 3 pointer and the 'Canes quick defensive pressure caused a turnover and Logan Rempel took advantage with a three at the buzzer to send it to overtime.

The overtime saw the Mounties take a lead and the Hurricanes had the last shot of the game but came up short.
Mounties winning 95-94.

Mounties were led by Noah McCarthy with 40 points, and 7 rebounds.  Jonas Munroe had 16 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists.

Hurricanes top performers were Jalen Menzies with 28 points and Kyree Thompson with 25.
