Crandall outscores Mystics down the stretch

Crandall outscores Mystics down the stretch

Devon Glenn, a usual starter for the visiting Crandall Charger come off the bench to take over down the stretch in a tighly contested game. Glenn's 50% shooting on 4 for 8 from the three point line helped the Chargers bench outscore the host Mystics bench 40-28 in a tightly contested and entertaining game. The Chargers jumped out to an 11 point lead in the first quarter with the Mystics closing that gap in the second with a buzzer beater by Ferron to go into the half by only 3 point. The third quarter appeared that the Mystics were going to run away with the game as they gained all the momentum on the back of rookie Isaac Matheson who went 5 for 5 from the feild and 3 for 3 from the free throw line for a total of 13 points in the quarter. The Charrgers responded in the fouth with an opening 11 to 5 run and then it became a back and forth affair until a a three pointer, a two point jump shot and two free throws by the Mystics Jaxon, Campbell, and Colpits that allowed the Mystics to have a 7 point lead with 1:20 to go. This is where the Chargers made 3 threes, one bt Hofer and two by Glenn to take the lead and not look back. The lose to the Mystics moved them to 4th place in the league and will have their last season game at MSVU vs the the cross town rivals UKC BlueDevils. The Crandall Chargers head home to host the Seavolves from Saint John.
