The St. Thomas Tommies fell 91-71 to the Holland College Hurricanes in ACAA men's basketball action Saturday afternoon at the Lady Beaverbrook Gym. 

Whyley Roosevelt led the Hurricanes with 24 points and eight rebounds, while Trevone Grant added 19 points. 

The Tommies were led by Ben Cripps who connected for 27 points and 11 rebounds for the double-double. Dylan Gallant added 21 points and dished out five assists. 

Both teams struggled with turnovers early, but the Hurricanes  regained composure and cruised to a 20-6 lead after the first quarter. The Tommies found a bit of flow offensively, but the Hurricanes continued to score en route to a 51-25 half time lead. 

The Tommies made a run in the third quarter and outscored the Hurricanes 30-21, cutting their deficit to 17 points heading into the fourth. Despite going toe-to-toe with the Hurricanes in the fourth quarter, the Tommies couldn't close the gap.
