The UNB Saint John Seawolves and Crandall University Chargers met in ACAA men's basketball. The Seawolves jumped out to a 27-17 lead but the Chargers clawed their way back to take a 42-40 half time lead. The teams took turns trading leads until the Chargers went on a big run and built up a 15 point lead with five minutes left in the game but the Seawolves mounted an amazing comeback on the backs of Hunter Gray and Steve Ryan. 

The Chargers were led by Daniel Maxwell and Brandon Fields who had 32 and 30 points respectively. Mehmed Hajrovic had 14 rebounds to lead both teams.

The Seawolves got a strong effort from Steve Ryan who ended up with 31 points. Hunter Gray caught fire down the stretch to end with 15 points and 10 rebounds.

The Chargers improved their record to 10-3 which puts them alone in 3rd place while the Seawolves fell to 4-7 but remain in 5th place.

January 27th at 3:00pm is the next day and time for both teams. The Chargers travel to Mount Saint Vincent University for a match-up with the Mystics while UNB Saint John goes to Holland College for a date with the Hurricanes.
