Hurricanes defeat Mounties

The Friday night game in Charlottetown did not disappoint. 

An action packed first half saw the home team Hurricanes jump out to an early 12-3 lead, the first quarter ending 18-11.

The Mounties chipped away at the lead and tied it up by the end of the second quarter 37-37.

The Mounties scored the first two points of the second half to take their only lead of the game.  The Hurricanes turned up the heat as Bryce Corless scored 24 of his 30 points in the second half. 

The Hurricanes took a 16 point lead into the fourth quarter and saw the game out to win 87-78

Bryce Corless added 12 rebounds to his 30 points, while teammate Diangelo Woodside had 23 points and 9 rebounds and was solid in the paint. 


Ryan Norris lead the Mounties with 22 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists.

 

Hurricanes are on the road to take on the Crandall Chargers this Sunday January 14th.
