The pressure was on for the Seawolves men's basketball team as they hosted the undefeated MSVU Mystics, coming in with a record of 8-0.

Ready to give it their all the Seawolves came out with a strong lead against MSVU ending the first period with a score of (37-18). Going into half UNB kept their lead over the Mystics and held strong up front with a 17 point lead.

MSVU entered the second half with a stronger offense getting them within 8 points of UNB. Seeing the fight from the players on MSVU, the Seawolves locked up their defense and put up the shots on offense.

Fourth year guard Jaydan Smith was crucial to tighten the score putting up 25 points, not far behind Jaxon Smith added 19 points and 10 rebounds.

Coming back strong from an injury, Colin Loughery was key for the Seawolves offensive play putting up 20 points. Not far behind, Jack Fury-Miller added 17, helping the team push through to ultimately break the Mystics winning streak!

Head coach, Paul Vaughn, says the team came back from the break focused and ready to show what they are capable of. "It's not about who we're playing, it's how we've been preparing all week, so we had a great week in practice," he said. "Everybody's believing right now so we're trying to ignore who we are playing and just look at how we play".
