ACAA soccer

The UNBSJ Seawolves hosted the University of King's College Blue Devils in ACAA men's soccer action Saturday at the Canada Games Stadium in Saint John.

The Seawolves got goals from four different players. Griffin Cassidy started things off with a penalty shot goal only three minutes into the game. It remained that way until the Seawolves struck for two quick goals by Stefan Jonnason and Oluwatashi Abe at 43 and 45 minutes. Nick Ellingwood added a fourth goal at 78 minutes and the Seawolves defeated the Blue Devils 4-1.

The Seawolves raised their record to 5-3-1 while the Blue Devils missed an opportunity to gain ground in the race for a playoff position and now stand at 3-6-0.

The Seawolves next game is at home against the Mount Saint Vincent Mystics Sunday, October 17 at 2:15pm  while the Blue Devils travel to St. Thomas to play the Tommies at the same time.
