ACAA men’s volleyball

The UNB Saint John Seawolves and University of Sainte Anne Dragons men met in the second game of a weekend double-header, January 21 at the G. Forbes Elliot Athletics Centre. The Seawolves came out on top once again, easily defeating the Dragons in three straight sets 25-15, 25-17, 25-12 to complete the six game weekend sweep and work their way back into the chase for first place.

Luke O'Grady and Zane Hamilton had 7 kills each and Ty Poore added 6 kills to lead the Seawolves. Patrick Kendall had 17 assists in the short outing while O'Grady and Jacob McLean contributed 6 digs and Poore ended with 2 service aces to round out the offense.  Marc-Antonine Doucet had 7 kills and 4 digs for the Dragons. Alex Arsenault had 8 assists and Michael Caleb Mahoney had a team high 5 digs.

The Seawolves improved to 6-3 which is good for 2nd place in the ACAA men's conference while the Dragons dropped to 0-9 and remain in 4th place. The Seawolves next action sees them traveling to Holland College for an 8:00pm match on January 27 against the first place Hurricanes. The Dragons play on the 27th as well when they travel to St. Thomas for a 7:00pm match with the Tommies.
