The UNB Saint John Seawolves took on the St. Thomas Tommies in ACAA men's volleyball Thursday in Saint John. The Tommies won the first set 25-23. They continued to play well in the second set taking it 25-20 and they closed out a stunning three game sweep with a 26-24 win in the third set.
The Tommies were led by Christian Christie who had a match-high 10 kills to go along with 5 digs. Josh Dorey had 8 kills and 4 digs while Jonah Burridge had 18 assists and Ryan Farrell finished with 9 digs.
Luke O'Grady had 8 kills and 7 digs to lead the Seawolves. Ty Poore added 8 kills and 4 digs. Patrick Kendall finished with 23 assists and Jacob McLean had a match-high 10 digs.
The Tommies improved to 7-6 for the season which moves them into second place ahead of the Seawolves who are also 7-6.
The Tommies host the University of Sainte Anne Dragons Saturday February 10 at 6:00 PM while the Seawolves host the Dragons Sunday February 11 at 1:00 PM.
