Seawolves Victorious in Home Opener vs. STU Tommies

A fantastic home opening night for Men's volleyball at UNB Saint John! The crowd was on the edge of their seats for the whole match against the St. Thomas Tommies at the G. Forbes Elliot Athletics Centre.  

The Seawolves took the match with three sets to two over the Tommies (16-25, 26-24, 21-25, 25-20, 11-15) but the Tommies made sure to put up a good fight. Outside hitter, Christian Christie led the Tommies in points (16.5) and kills (11), 11 digs and 4 service aces. Adam McDougall led the team in digs (13) and put up 10 kills, Setter, Henry Doucet added 28 assist and added 2 service aces to the match. 

On the Seawolve's side, Outside hitter Ryan Farrell hit the ground running with 14.5 points overall and took the lead over both teams with the most kills of the match (12) and 6 digs. Middle hitter, Garrett Windle wasn't too far behind with 9 kills. Setter, Ben Wilson added 35 assists and 17 digs. Simon Anctil put up 11 points of his own with 6 kills and 15 digs. 

The sets were tough but the Seawolves were tougher and came out on top, quite the battle from both teams.
