The Holland Hurricanes won their home opener by defeating the UNBJ Seawolves by set scores of 25-21, 25-22, 20-25, 25-18

Cole McKey and Gordon Veitch led the attack with 13 and 12 kills respectively. Brandon Hastings had 27 assists with Colby Boyle and Veitch adding 14 and 12 digs in the win. 

For the Seawolves, Garrett Windle and Simon Anctil both had seven kills while Ben Wilson had 23 assists in the loss. Blake Stephenson had 20 digs for the visitors. 

The 'Canes are now 1-2 on the season while the Seawolves are 1-1.
