The Seawolves and Hurricanes played the second match of a double-header weekend in ACAA men's volleyball. The Seawolves were looking for the sweep but what a difference a day makes. The Hurricanes played much better from the start and the two hour and 10 minute, five set marathon featured great rallies and multiple lead changes. Holland avenged the loss on Saturday and won 25-23, 27-29, 18-25, 25-20, and 15-12.
Ryan Farrell had 18 kills for the Seawolves. Liam McLellan added 37 assists and Ben Wilson had 23 digs. The victorious Hurricanes were led by Luke Hyde's match-high 20. He also added 16 digs. Joey Horne had 35 assists and Ben MaDonald had 23 digs.
The Hurricanes improved to 2-4, whicj is good for 3rd place while the Seawolves fell to 1-5 and currently sit in 4th place.
The Seawolves next see action when they travel to play the STU Tommies Saturday, Nov. 27 at 6:00pm. The Hurricanes do not play again until Saturday, Dec. 4 when they host the University of Sainte Anne Dragons at 7:00pm.
