The St. Thomas Tommies dropped a 77-54 decision to the Holland College Hurricanes in ACAA women's basketball action Sunday afternoon in Fredericton.

Jazlin Barker and Jenea Barrett each connected for 21 points for the Hurricanes, while Jessica Patenaude led the Tommies with 21 points and 11 rebounds.

It was a close game in the first quarter, but the Hurricanes pulled away in the second and held a comfortable 42-26 lead at the break. The Tommies went through a lull in the third and, despite going on a fourth-quarter run, couldn't close the gap.
