Tommies Best Seawolves in Fredericton

The St. Thomas Tommies bested the University of New Brunswick Saint John Seawolves 87-39 in ACAA women's basketball action Saturday afternoon in Fredericton.

It was a well rounded attack from the Tommies, who four players hit double-digits on the score sheet. They were led by Jayme Hunt with 19 points, while Katelynn Carver added 17. Lainy Dow had a double-double with 14 points and 12 rebounds.

The Seawolves were led by Kathryn Magee, who had eight points and three rebounds. 
The Tommies jumped to an early 26-11 lead after the first quarter. The Seawolves rallied to bring it within ten at one point, but the Tommies regained composure en route to a comfortable 42-21 half time lead. 

It was much of the same in the second half, with the Tommies holding the Seawolves to six points in the third and outscoring them 27-12 in the fourth. 

With the win, the Tommies complete the regular season with a 9-12 record while the Seawolves finish with a 1-17 record.
