The Mystics hosted the University of New Brunswick Saint John Seawolves in ACAA womens basketball for their season opener.  After a slow start by both teams in the first quarter the Mystics found their groove and transition game fueled by their defense and broke the game open early in the second. The Mystics bench were huge contributors in the win but also a balanced attack ed to a solid team win.  MSVU had five players in double digits and led by fifth year player Tahlia Jones with 15 and then Calla Newcomb and Courtney Smith with 13 each. The Mystics forced 43 turnovers and the bench outscored the Seahawks 58-21. Unbsj top scorer was Bailey Henderson with 10. The Mystics take the floor tomorrow at 1 vs St.Thomas Tommies. Unbsj moves across the city to play the UKC Blue Devils.
