Hurricanes win big at home

The Hurricanes jumped came out strong and took a 23-11 lead after the first quarter in their return to action on Sunday in Charlottetown.

 

The 'Canes would blow it open in the second quarter and lead 51-21 at the half, eventually increasing their lead by five points in the second half.

 

Lisa Bolander led all scorers with 23 points while adding six assists and four rebounds.

 

Grace Bennett had 17 points and seven rebounds with Kassandra Little coming off the bench to add 11 points and seven rebounds.

 

Karla Benitez chipped in with ten points, five assists, and four steals.

 

Alexa Rancourt led the Chargers with 12 points and 10 boards off the bench.

 

With the victory, the 'Canes move to 6-3 this season and are tied for third with the Mounties in a highly competitive ACAA. The Chargers falls to 1-9 and sit in sixth place.
