The St. Thomas Tommies topped the University of New Brunswick Varsity Reds 29-12 in ACAA women's rugby action Friday night in Fredericton.

The Tommies opened the scoring with an early try and conversion, but the Varsity Reds scored off an interception and tied the game 7-7. It was back and forth for the majority of the first half, with most of the action in the midfield, but just before the 40 minute mark the Tommies crossed the try line for a 12-7 lead.

The lead was short-lived as the Varsity Reds opened the second half with a try to knot the game at 12-12. From then on it was all Tommies as they scored three more tries and one more conversion to secure the win.
