The University of New Brunswick Varsity Reds kicked off the first season game defeating St. Thomas 15-0 in ACAA women's rugby action Friday evening in Fredericton on College Field. 

UNB held possession of the ball for the first 10 minutes of the game scoring two tries from Taylor Morgan and Taran Price. No conversions were given making the score 10-0. STU fought back hard but UNB held a try up. The second half began with Price grabbing another point for UNB making it 15-0. Due to thunderstorms, the game was cut short after 10 minutes into the second half. 

The next game is schedule for September 15th vs. Mount Allison University at College Field in Fredericton at 6pm. UNB has a 1-0 record.
