Recap

On October 15, the UKC women's rugby team played their final home game of the regular season at Graves-Oakley Field against the Mount Allison mounties. The Blue Devils put up a rowdy fight, making it perhaps the most exciting game of the season.  Mount Allison put up a solid 5 tries in the first half. The second-half was a tough battle, with both teams gassing out. Blue Devils pushed through and defended their end, maintaining an aggressive front. In the last five minutes of the game, team captain Ariel Greenblat initiated a run, that was picked up by Bridget Landry taking it all the way down the field until being tackled just ten yards away from the try line. UKC's Player of the game Isla Littlewood picked up the ball and passed the try line, earning the team it's first try of the game. The final score totalled to 49 to 5. Stand out players for UKC included powerhouses Taryn Hanraham, Talia Meade, and Isla Littlewoood. Next week the UKC women's ruby team will close the season in New Brunswick, facing the University of New Brunswick.
