University of King's College Blue Devils women's rugby team kicked off the season with a hard fought game against St. Thomas in ACAA action Sunday afternoon at Harbour East Field. 

 

The Tommies opened the scoring early and held the lead with a 36-0 lead at half. The Blue Devils fought hard, with a try by Severen Fischer-Schmidt, but were unable to make the comeback they desired although coming close a few times. The UKC Devils fell to STU 63-5. 

 

The next game is schedule for September 16th vs. Mount Allison University at 2pm. UKC starts the season off with a 0-1 record.
