The Hurricanes came out hard on Sunday afternoon as they played host to the UKC Blue Devils in ACAA Women's Rugby action.
The canes struck quickly and often scoring 4 tries and one conversion for a score of 22-0 prior to a UKC response ending the first half with a score of 22-7.
The UKC counteracted quickly to start the second half scoring another try and conversion narrowing the score to 22-14 but was short lived as Canes answered right back with a try and conversion of their own extending their lead to 29-14. The remainder of the game was a head to head struggle with teams trading back and fourth with tries. The end result seeing Hurricanes solidifying the win by a score of 39-21.
Hurricanes received scoring from Tori Hogan 4 tries, 3 conversions and 1 Penalty goal and two tries from Avery Bradley. Blue Devils scoring was by Amelia Jardine with2 tries and 1 conversion and Amy Randall with the single try.
Canes record improves to 4-3 on the season while the Blue Devils 3-3.
