The UNBSJ Seawolves tangled with the Holland College Hurricanes Saturday in ACAA women's soccer action. The teams played tight defense throughout the game in very windy conditions. The Hurricanes carried the wind advantage in the first half and had chances to score but could not get a shot past keeper Marina Comeau. However, they broke the stalemate when Nicole Ferguson scored the only goal of the game early in the second half on a free kick. The Hurricanes did not sit back and got stronger as the game moved along. They continued to attack through to the end of the game to cap off a solid road effort.
The win moves the Hurricanes to 4–1-0 for the season which moves them into first place pending the result of STU and DAL AC. The Seawolves suffered their first loss in four games and now sit at 0-1-3.
