ACAA women’s soccer

The UNBSJ Seawolves and Crandall University Chargers tangled in ACAA women's soccer action Wednesday at the Canada Games Stadium in an entertaining game that featured several lead changes.

The Seawolves jumped out to a 2-0 lead thanks to Nicole Mersereau scored two goals to give the Seawolves a 2-0 lead but the Chargers fought back to score three goals of their own. Alyssa Dykeman had two and Lydia Nauss one as the Chargers carried a 3-2 lead late into the second half. Mersereau was not done however and scored her third goal of the game to tie it with only minutes left. That set the stage for Makayla Martin of the Seawolves to chip one past the keeper and fire a shot into the empty net for the most important goal of the season for the Seawolves who needed the win to keep pace in the race for playoffs.

The Seawolves improved their record to 4-5-1 while Crandall dropped to 1-9.

The Seawolves have Thanksgiving weekend off before their final trip of the regular season against Mount Saint Vincent University, Saturday October 19 at 2:00 PM and then Sunday, October 20 against the University of King's College Blue Devils at 12:00 PM
