ACAA women’s soccer

The UNBSJ Seawolves hosted the Dalhousie Agricultural Rams in ACAA women's soccer action Sunday at the Canada Games Stadium in Saint John.

The Seawolves carried a wind advantage in the first half and had several opportunities to score but Rams keeper Rachel Sheffield was up to the task until Karlee Duval finally broke the ice in the 39th minute to give the Seawolves a 1-0 lead. It stayed that way until early in the second half when the Seawolves struck for two quick goals by Anna Salamone and Kiersten Appleby to stretch the lead to 3-0 and that is how the game ended.

The Seawolves evened their record at 1-1-0 for the season while the Rams stand at 0-2-0.

The next game for both teams is Saturday, Sept. 18. The Seawolves visit the Crandall University Chargers while the Rams play at Mount Saint Vincent University. Both games are 1:00pm kickoffs.
