Emily Cormier posted the first goal for the 'Canes in the 34th minute of play against the Chargers.  The Cane's were dominant throughout the majority of the 1st half of play, however the Chargers had two strong attempts on goal just before half time - only to be shut down by the Hurricanes Keeper Brianna Spencer.  Sarah MacVarish solified the 'Canes lead in the 60th minute of play, and the Canes were able to hold the Chargers scoreless for the remainder of the game.  Brianna Spencer recorded the shut out for the 'Canes.  

The Hurricanes have a record of 4-1-1 at the halfway point in the season and go on the road this weekend when they visit MSVU Mystics and UKC Blue Devils this coming weekend in Halifax.
