Chargers Draw 0-0 against STU

MONCTON, NB - The Chargers Women's soccer team ended another game in a draw, this time against the visiting Saint Thomas University (STU) Tommies. It was a defensive battle on a cool fall afternoon with neither team finding the back of the net.

Both teams were able to stretch and turn the field quickly in the first half and put multiple shots on net. Though, after 45 minutes neither team capitalized, going 0-0 into the half. STU came out of the half with fresh legs and lots of pressure. Crandall appeared to have gotten under the skin of STU late in the game with frustration turning into three yellow cards issued to the Tommies.

The Tommies had double the amount of shots on net, outpacing the Chargers 6-3. Crandall defense continues to bend but not break anchored by rookies Juliana Augustine and Goalkeeper Maya Clapperton.

The Chargers have no time to dwell on the result of this afternoon's match as they head to Mount Saint Vincent University for a Sunday afternoon meeting. Monday will be a single day of rest before another set of back to back games on Tuesday and Wednesday evening at UNBSJ and Dalhousie, respectively.
