Saint John, NB – The University of New Brunswick Saint John Seawolves and the Holland College Hurricanes played to a 0-0 draw in Atlantic Collegiate Athletic Association women's soccer play, Saturday afternoon at the Canada Games Stadium.
The draw moves the Seawolves' record to 4-1-1, and 2-1-2 for the Hurricanes.
The first real chance of the match came for the Seawolves, when the ACAA's leading scorer, Joce Splitgerber (Orono, ON), was sent in on a long ball off the foot of Julia Short (Dieppe, NB), but Hurricanes' keeper, Brianna Spencer, came off the line to make a strong challenge, one of her six saves on the day.
On the other end, Jillian Smith (Markham, ON), was on top of her game once again, as she made eight saves on the afternoon, leading her team to their fourth straight clean sheet.
The Seawolves will be back in action Sunday when they host the Dal AC Rams (0-6-0), while the Hurricanes will head to St. Thomas to play the Tommies (3-3-0).
