Emily LePine established an early lead with a quick goal in the 13th minute.  Play remained even for the rest of the 1st half, Kings was unable to answer the loan Hurricanes goal.  In the 63rd minute, Reece Kelly acquired some security with a 2-0 lead over Kings. Tia Longrove scored in the 87th minute for the Blue Devils, however they were unable to catch the Hurricanes Lead before the end of regulation time, giving the Hurricanes a record of 5-2-2.
