September 20, 2023The first meeting between the Halifax rivals, the Mount Saint Vincent University Mystics took the lead in the 32nd minute through a solo goal from Annabelle Lendrum-Harnish. The Mystics would retain the lead into the halftime break. The King’s offence proved far more aggressive in the second half, with much of the game being played in the Mount defensive third, with chances from Georgia Gavas and Tia Lovegrove, among others. Despite the tempo change, the Blue Devils were unable to convert in front of net, with the Mystics collecting all 3 points. Both teams will visit Moncton in the coming weekend for matches against the Crandall Chargers, with King’s playing on Saturday and the Mount playing on Sunday.
