Ther Mount Allison Mounties edged the Université Sainte-Anne Dragons 3 games to 1 in Women's Volleball action Saturday night. The Mounties rallied to take the first set 27-25. The Dragons bounced back in the second to tie the match in front of a noisy home crowd.
MTA finally finished on towith some good serving and clutch attacks. Captain Sydney Umlah led the winners with 12 kills, 2 aces and 3 blocks while Kayla Vande Kemp added 8 kills, 1 ace and 1 block.
The Dragons who fought hard, received 10 kills from Mylène Leblanc and 7 from Sarah Thériault. Setter Jolyane Chamberlain also had a strong match with 3 kills and 18 digs.
The teams face off again tomorrow at 12 pm in Church Point
