The University of King's College Blue Devils took the win over the Dalhousie AC Rams today in their home opener at the Kingdome in Halifax. King's took the first 2 sets with standout performances in particular from Abby Hourigan (#1) on the right side with 12 points and Megan Gosse (#10) in the middle with 14 points. They took the first set 25-15 and despite an initial run from the Rams in the second, UKC pushed back and took the win 25-20. The Rams made a comeback in the third winning the set 25-20 before ultimately falling to the Blue Devils in the fourth 20-25.  
 
While the Rams fought hard, led by 5th year Thea McLachlin, who had 7 service aces and earned 16 total points for her team, today's loss brought their season record to 0-2 with UKC beginning their season with a 1-0 record.
