The UNB Saint John Seawolves and Holland College Hurricanes met in ACAA women's volleyball. The Hurricanes got off to a strong start winning the first game 25-22. The Hurricanes jumped out to a 17-8 lead in game two but the Seawolves clawed their way back to win 26-24 and tie the match at 1-1.
Holland was not to be denied as they won the final two games 25-18 and 25-22 to win the match 3-1.
Megan LeBlanc led the Hurricanes with 16 kills and 18 digs. Dana Flanagan-Trainor had a match high 20 digs and Gracie Ferguson added 30 assists.
Taylor McGrattan paced the Seawolves with 30 assists and a team high 17 digs. Jenna DeGooyer had 12 kills.
The Hurricanes improved to 4-2 which leaves them in third place while the Seawolves fell to 5-2 but remain in second place.
The Seawolves will travel to Dalhousie Agricultural Campus to take on the Rams Sunday at 1:00 PM while the Hurricanes are finished until January 6 when they will host the St. Thomas Tommies at 4:00 PM
