The extended volleyball break because of  University Exams and Christmas , showed on both teams as neither team could get a consistent rythym going in their first match of the second half of the ACAA schedule for 2017-18.

The best battle of the match was the first set,  when teams exchanged positive rallies before the Mounties edged ahead to take the first set 25-19.  The second set saw the Rams struggle to build momentum with the Mounties coming out on top 25-8.  The Rams

mounted a comeback in the third, but couldnt sustain momentum and lost 25-15.  Leading the Mounties were Rachel van Gestel (6 kills, 5 service aces, 7 digs and 11 pts) and Rachel McDougall (4 kills, 5 assists, 5 digs and 5.5 pts).

The Rams had good performances from Thea McLachlin (7 kills,8 digs, 9 pts) Emma Marquis (13 assists, 5 digs) and Sarah VanDen Heuvel (4 kills, 3 digs and 5 pts). 

The next match for the  Dal AC Rams is Sunday Jan 14 at 12 noon when the USA Dragons visit the DAL AC Rams.
