The MSVU Mystics combined power and quickness to take the match 3-0 over the Rams today in Bible Hill. Without the services of starting setter Emma Marquis who was out with illness, the Rams struggled to gain momentum. In the 2nd set , the Rams looked like they were going to take the set, but the powerful Mystics turned the tide to edge ahead 26-14 for the win.
The Mystics were led offensively by Jenn Lecky(10 kills and 10 points) and Jasmine Smith ( 8 kills ,6 digs and 13 points) The veteran Rams player - Thea McLachlin led all with 13 kills and added 11 digs as well.
The match went to the Mystics (25-16, 26-24, 25-15) who are still undefeated in the 17-18 season.
The Rams play again on Feb 10-11 when they travel to NB to meet STU and UNBSJ
